Yes. Each Ohio county Auditor keeps the owner's name and the address the tax bill goes to, and Ohio's public records law (Ohio Revised Code 149.43) opens those records to anyone. These lists come from the Erie County Auditor's records.
How do I find absentee property owners?
Look for homes whose tax bill goes to a different address than the home. There are 6,275 of them in Erie County today. The Absentee owners list has every one, with the address where the owner gets mail.
How current is the data?
The Erie County Auditor's records as of October 22, 2026. The county posts new files every day; we check for a new one every Monday night. Every file shows its date.
Can I get just one ZIP code?
Yes. Pick one ZIP code, town, township or school district. You see the exact count and price before you pay, and you pay only for that area. Every list is at least $5.
Who is left out?
Owners the Auditor protects by law, anyone who asked us not to mail them or to hide their name, owners who live in Vermont or Connecticut, and addresses with no ZIP code.
