Is a list of property owners public record in Ohio?
Yes. Each Ohio county Auditor keeps the owner's name and the address the tax bill goes to, and Ohio's public records law (Ohio Revised Code 149.43) opens those records to anyone. These lists come from the Summit County Auditor's records.
How do I find absentee property owners?
Look for homes whose tax bill goes to a different address than the home. There are 21,788 of them in Summit County today. The Absentee owners list has every one, with the address where the owner gets mail.
How current is the data?
The Summit County Auditor's records as of October 22, 2026. we check for a new one every Thursday night. Every file shows its date.
Can I get just one ZIP code?

Who is left out?
Owners the Auditor protects by law, anyone who asked us not to mail them or to hide their name, owners who live in Vermont or Connecticut, and addresses with no ZIP code.
